New Hobby Epilamprinae Genus: Pseudophoraspis!

Now these are a neat new addition to culture, though sadly not one I get to keep myself right now. Jonah was selling nymph of a Pseudophoraspis species originating from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, but they were too expensive for me personally. However, fellow hobbyists Alberto Marquez and Kyle Kandilian were more than happy to purchase some, and had them shipped with my Perisphaerus. 😁 So y'all get to see a sneak peek of the newest Epilamprid to enter the US hobby, hopefully they'll breed well for Junior and Kyle both, and I can get some from them in the future!

I kept them temporarily in a moderately ventilated gallon container, with a thin layer of coconut fiber as the substrate. I kept them very humid and warm (75-85F°), and fed them dog food and fruits.

Such an interesting looking species, I love the tubercles on them, and their flat appearance. Here's hoping they'll get established here in the hobby soon! 😄🤞
