Some Roach Pictures

Here are some pictures I took of some of my roaches, I hope you guys enjoy!

Blaberus atropos "Florida"

These guys are doing pretty well,  the small nymphs have grown drastically in size and are half grown already! Hopefully in a few months I will have some more adults!

Polyphaga saussurei

Most of the saussurei nymphs recently molted, and they are as big as my adult Polyphaga aegyptiaca! They still have a lot of growing to do though.

Rhabdoblatta formosana Adult

Nymph
These guys are doing exceedingly well, and I probably have over 300 individuals right now. These guys are super prolific, and seem to make great feeders!

That's gonna be it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed! :)

  1. I really love the polyphaga saussurei:), I should be getting some in a week or so!
Are you keeping them with sand as the substrate or did you just use it for the picture? Could these guys be kept fine with a little sand mixed into their substrate?

    1. Yeah, me too! Hope yours arrive safely! :)

The sand was just for the picture, I keep these guys on coconut fiber mixed with dead leaves, no sand. I'm pretty sure the sand is not the best thing to keep them in, and it makes a cage really heavy.

    2. Thanks! :)
Ok, figured it was for the picture.
Also great shots of your R.formosana, they look so beautiful with the cryptic markings and orange coloration, look like a real dead leaf!

    3. Thanks, they do really look like leaves, in nature they must be pretty hard to spot lol!
