Horseshoe crab roach adult!

Two of my horseshoe crab roaches matured this week, unfortunately one of them died from unknown causes, the other one is doing just fine! Here is a picture of it, though the guy is quite encrusted in coco fiber.

This month has been very great for my roaches, lots of my species are growing well and lots are maturing, as you can see. Hope you guys enjoyed! :)

Another P.americana ooth hatch!

Another ootheca hatched today, this one was smaller, and only 6 nymphs came out of it. The last ooth was larger and had about 8 to 10 nymphs in it. I got some pics of the nymphs, though not great ones. These guys are small and speedy, and make it hard to get a good pic!

Hope you guys enjoyed! :)

My Sarracenia minor seedling

My mother got a mini pitcher plant growing set for my birthday, and after following the instructions and waiting for a few months, one of the four seedlings has started to grow! I'm really hoping that I can grow it to maturity, as this is my favorite Sarracenia species! Here are a couple of pics.

Can't wait to see how it grows! Hope you guys enjoyed! :)

I am done with darklings.

I wanted to announce that I am no longer keeping darkling beetles. I have had a really bad mite problem with these, I was not able to get rid of the mites no matter what I tried. I have also just kinda lost interest in keeping them, and it was starting to not be fun anymore,  so I released them all. It was fun keeping them, and they helped to inspire me to keep a wider variety of invertebrates, and darkling beetles will always hold a special place in my heart, but keeping them just wasn't working out for me. Have a nice day everyone! :)

My first Question mark roach adult!

I checked my cage the other day to find this beauty!

I'm very happy to have this beauty, unfortunately they only live a few months, which kinda sucks. I believe it is a female, I could be wrong though. There are two other large nymphs in the cage, so hopefully they will mature soon and I can get these guys breeding! Hope you guys enjoyed! :)

More Polyphaga saussurei pics

Well these guys have been molting, lots of them are now black with white markings. Here are the pics!

I am sorry for the lack of posts, I have become addicted to a game I bought a few weeks ago, "Binding of Isaac: Rebirth". I have been using basically all my free time playing that game, so I haven't had much time to post, plus not much is going on with my bugs, so there is not too much to post about.

P.americana ooth hatched!

Hahah, I spoke too soon! Just hours after my post, I checked the ooths and found that one of them had hatched!!! I am very excited right now, and I look forward to rearing the nymphs to adulthood, which I have heard is not an easy thing to do for this species. Here is a video of the nymphs!

Hope you guys enjoy! :)

Parcoblatta ooth setup

Here is my Parcoblatta americana oothecae setup, its a deli container with 2 dozen or so holes poked in the top. They are on a layer of coconut fiber, and I am keeping them moist. None have hatched yet, but they should be hatching soon.

Hope you guys enjoyed! :)
